Jeg ønsker å advare andre som vurderer å bruke advokat Siri Kristin Karlsen, Porsgrunn, om min negative erfaring med henne. Min erfaring gjelder en enkel sletting av en disposisjonsrett etter min brors død – en oppgave Kartverket selv beskriver som en gratis og svært enkel prosess som tar rundt to minutter. Jeg oppsøkte advokaten kun for rådgivning, og betalte 4 800 kr for et møte hjemme hos henne samt eposter og et par telefonsamtaler fra henne i den sammenhengen. På slutten av møtet spurte hun om hun skulle sende inn slettingen for meg. Jeg sa ja i god tro, siden Kartverket hadde bekreftet at dette var en rask og gratis oppgave som ikke krevde juridisk bistand. Det kom derfor som et sjokk da jeg mottok en ny faktura på 6 875 kr for «arbeid» hun hevdet var knyttet til denne innsendingen. Ifølge henne hadde oppgaven tatt 2,5 timer. Kartverket uttalte at dersom en advokat bruker så lang tid på denne typen sletting, må vedkommende være «landet mest langsomt arbeidende advokat», for "det skal absolutt ikke gjøres noen bearbeiding av den som sender inn slettingen!" I tillegg opplevde jeg følgende som unødvendige forhold som bidro til å gjøre saken kunstig omfattende: Jeg ble bedt om å møte henne en ekstra dag for å signere, hjemme hos henne, selv om dette enkelt kunne vært gjort på første møte.Så ville hun istedet ta signeringen utenfor biblioteket på vei hjem fra en annen jobb, og gir advokatnemden inntrykk at hun kjørte frem og tilbake kun for signeringen i sitt svar til dem. Signeringen tok under to minutter, og jeg fikk ikke se dokumentet før det ble sendt.Signeringen var på en egen side. Hun la til "bearbeiding, telefoner og eposter" til regningen, og sa senere til advokatnemda at selve slettingen var gratis men det var bearbeidinga, eposter og telefonsamtal som tok tiden" dette på tross av at den eneste kontakten vi hadde i den tiden var å avtale på sms at vi skulle treffes utenfor biblioteket. Hun hevdet at det måtte gjøres vurderinger om familieforhold som ikke lenger var relevante, og som ikke endret selve slettingen. Summen av dette var at en gratis innsending på to minutter ble gjort om til et fakturert arbeid på 2,5 timer – uten forhåndsinformasjon, uten nødvendig dokumentasjon og uten synlig faglig innhold som kunne forklare omfanget. Som uføretrygdet i en sårbar situasjon etter min brors død opplevde jeg denne behandlingen som svært belastende, både økonomisk og følelsesmessig. På bakgrunn av dette kan jeg ikke anbefale advokat Siri Karlsen. Min erfaring er at arbeidet rundt slettingen ble fremstilt som langt mer omfattende enn det faktisk var, og at mangel på åpenhet om kostnader førte til en urimelig og uforholdsmessig faktura. Jeg endte totalt med å betale 11 687,50 kr for en setting som tar to minutter og er gratis.
