Advokatguiden.no is the Norwegian operation of TheLawyerGuide, the
parent brand that also runs Legaly.ch in Switzerland and
AdvokatGuiden.dk in Denmark. Each country site lists local lawyers
against the same editorial standards but is operated locally.

## What this site is good for

- Finding a lawyer by practice area (family law, criminal law,
  property, tax, business, etc.) and geography (city / county).
- Reading client reviews of specific lawyers and firms.
- Comparing lawyers' price ranges, languages spoken, areas of
  expertise, and client ratings.
- Requesting a free, non-binding quote that gets forwarded to
  matched lawyers ("fa-tilbud").

## What this site is NOT

- Not legal advice. We do not employ lawyers and do not answer
  legal questions ourselves.
- Not a lead-generation funnel that hides paid placements. Paid
  Featured Search placements are labelled inline with a "Featured"
  badge in result lists.
- Not affiliated with the Tilsynsrådet for Advokatvirksomhet — we
  read from their public register, but we are an independent
  commercial directory.

## Editorial standards

Lawyer entries are sourced from the Tilsynsrådet's public register
on a regular sync. Suspensions and withdrawals propagate within
days. Profile claims by lawyers are verified against the same
register before activation. Client reviews require a verified email
and are moderated for personal attacks and identifiable third-party
detail. Paid placements are disclosed inline.
